EXPERIENCE - INTEGRITY - HONESTY
About My Family:
I am happily married to an amazing wife, mother, and best friend. Amanda works as a dedicated 5th grade teacher for the Camdenton RIII School District. Our lives revolve around our two children: Austin and Aubrey. Austin is a 2018 Camdenton School District graduate and currently serves our country in the Army National Guard as a Crew Chief in a Blackhawk Helicopter and Osage Police Department as a Patrol Officer. Aubrey is a sophomore in the Camdenton School District, she enjoys anything outdoors such as fishing, boating and hiking. We spend most of our time with family and friends and enjoy a very healthy and active lifestyle.

How my Experience Outside of Law Enforcement Will Contribute As Sheriff:
I grew up in Lawson, Missouri, a small farming town north of Kansas City. I am the oldest of 2 brothers and 1 sister. Our parents worked extremely hard to provide the best life they could for us. They taught us that hard work and integrity are the cornerstones of success. I learned that respect as a person, father, employee, and leader are something that you earn based on your actions, morals, and integrity.
Throughout high school, I stayed busy with playing on the football team and working on the farm. I also began serving at the local fire department and realized my calling for public service, working with people, and first response. After high school, I attended Northwest State University and earned my EMT license.
I moved to Camdenton to be close to my family in 2001. With the growing Lake area, I was able to stay busy by starting a construction company and building homes during the day while working evenings at Lake Regional as a medical technician.
To take advantage of a great opportunity, I moved back to the Kansas City area and pursued a career in sales management for American Siding and Windows. During this time, the sales office I was managing was the most productive office in the nationwide company.
This opened new doors, and I was offered a career at the Pacesetter Corporation, a fortune 500 company, where I became the manager for the Kansas City Office. I managed all operations from budgeting to customer service, sales, and multiple contractors in the home improvement industry. During my oversight as manager, the office was the top office in the United States in sales and customer service.
In addition to the aforementioned, I also served as territory manager for Price Brothers Equipment, in Kansas City, Missouri, managing all sales in the state. My responsibilities were to oversee operations, sales, and service of a multitude of different types of light, medium, and heavy equipment. Under my leadership, this office routinely was between first and second place in functioning and sales throughout the entire United States.
